Academic/School Programs

The Capital Preparatory Magnet School is a year-round college preparatory school. Students must participate in a rigorous year-round calendar. Upon graduation, students could receive both a high school diploma and up to 60 college credits. The Capital Preparatory Magnet School evolved from the Connecticut Collegiate Awareness and Preparation Program (ConnCAP) at Capital Community College. For seven years, 100 percent of ConnCAP participants have gone to four-year colleges. Interested families are strongly encouraged to schedule a visit to Capital Preparatory to meet students, staff and faculty.
