CREC Magnet Schools

CREC assists school districts in their efforts to reduce racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic isolation of Greater Hartford students by initiating, developing and managing innovative, high quality, interdistrict educational programs. The Hartford Public School system participates in existing interdistrict programs and works as a partner with CREC in development of new initiatives. Although each of these interdistrict schools and programs offers a different experience, they have a common characteristic in that they all have a strong academic component that enhances the acquisition and the development of basic skills as measured by the Connecticut State Mastery Tests.  CREC magnet schools are:
