The suburban open choice program is another facet of Magnet Education of Greater Hartford providing students outside of Hartford an opportunity to join the newly redesigned Hartford Public School community. Our open choice schools are available to all residents of Connecticut that live outside of the city of Hartford. The application process to enroll in an open choice school is facilitated through the Regional School Choice Office. Interested students should fill out the RSCO common application to be placed into the lottery pool. The open choice program is yet another innovative and unique opportunity designed to expand options and create the best possible educational experience for students in Connecticut. All of the open choice schools, like our magnet schools are theme based and tuition free offering programs such as culinary arts, nursing, Asian studies and much more.
