The Regional School Choice Office offers dozens of educational opportunities for Hartford and its suburban area families.  The over-arching theme of My Education. My Choice. is deeply rooted in our commitment to the communities we serve and our belief that you know what is best for your child's educational future. You choose the education needed.  You choose the school that provides it.  

 

When applying to a Regional School Choice Program, it is recommended that you follow three steps:

 

Attend a fair or open house. 

In addition to getting a glimpse into the school or program you are exploring, you'll receive all the additional information and application forms needed.  Open houses and informational sessions are held for the Open Choice Program, Magnet Schools, Technical Schools, and Regional Agriscience Centers. 

 

Complete the application. 

If you are interested in a magnet school, be sure to take the time to evaluate all magnet school options and choose, in order of preference, the schools you are applying to.

 

Send the application to us.

At the time the application is submitted, it is expected that parents and students understand and intend to fully comply with the academic program and uniform requirements of each school.

All applications (electronically submitted, mailed, faxed or hand delivered) must be received by the application deadline date of February 17th, 2009.
